thekey.to revisited

It was last Thursday the first time someone asked me about the GMO “scandal” in India and I haven't had time to think about much else since. So my report of thekey.to has been on the backburner until now and I am finally uploading some pix. There were so many great shots that I have gone ahead and set up a gallery. Please feel free to use any photos you find there, but do give us credit.

What I thought about the key? It was a blast. We have been so isolated from the non-virtual eco label world sitting in Erfurt. Sure I have had a lot of great contacts to the folks at korrekte-klamotten, gruenemode and elsewhere, but as a label, we have been quite lonely in our Thurungian isolation. So I loved just hanging out with everyone, finally getting to meet our friends Mathias and Simon from toodot, the gals from batata, Steffi from IndiaFling, Noomi of Know Me fame and also Siroc. It is was so nice to get to know you and I hope we do it again.

And yes, sharing the space was great, even if there was maybe one discussion too many along the lines of, “Well I have to have my sling in front of your poster but not next to that sign!”. Yeah, it was a bit like a Label WG.

I do wish a few more shops had stopped by, too. As far as we could see up in the bakery it was pretty much a PR event, not a retail one. But we did enjoy it thoroughly. And hope to be there again this summer, with all of our label-gemeinschaft friends.
